Interactive Notebook Material
* Make flashcards. Put questions on one side and answers on the back
* Use information as questions for any board game
* Play team games with older siblings, peers and parents. Earn one point or move one space for each correct answer.
* Make spare copies for your child to study on the bus, when waiting at the doctor's or dentist's office, when traveling to and from sporting events, shopping, etc.
* Make up songs and rhymes about information or sing along to well-known tunes.
* Tape record information and play in your car when out and about. The best time to play the information is at bedtime as your child is falling asleepo. The mind is very receptive then.
SOL Review Material
* Cover up the answer sheets
* Your child needs to read the questions himself/ herself as he/she will have to do on the test. Practice giving your child confidence in reading the directions and question. Let them figure it out.
* Make flashcards for the material your child has not mastered.
